This department aims to provide a comprehensive scientific program for teaching the science of Tajweed in a simplified and systematic manner that suits all levels. It begins with a gradual explanation of all theoretical rules of Tajweed, including the articulation points and characteristics of letters, the rules of the silent noon and tanween, prolongation, assimilation, and idhhar, among other rules. This is accompanied by direct practical application to consolidate understanding and improve the student's vocal performance. The program also includes special attention to memorizing and explaining authentic scientific texts in this science, most notably Al-Jazariyah by Imam Ibn Al-Jazari. The text is memorized and explained in a comprehensive manner that links the theoretical foundation with practical recitation. This qualifies the student to understand the science of Tajweed according to its principles and to master their recitation of the Holy Quran in accordance with the methodology of those who are skilled in performance and mastery. This is done in an effort to build a solid foundation of knowledge and application that will enable them to recite correctly and later obtain a license.
